This week's Star of the Week is Kate.
Kate is a great listener and knows what to do. She always tries her best and completes her work to 'Triple Star' standard.
Kate, it's great to have you in Room 13.
On Monday some children wrote about Friday night's disco. It was a super evening and all the children who attended had a lot of fun. Here's some recounts of the event:
On Friday at five o'clock I went to the Junior Disco. There was a DJ. The music was very, very loud. I had to shout to all my friends. I bought a little light and a bottle of raspberry soft drink. I also bought lots of treats. William T
After school on Friday my Dad and I jumped in the car and drove to the disco. We followed the pink balloons. At the disco we did my two favourite dances, the Macarena and the Chicken Dance. I bought a drink because I was getting hot! It was fantastic. My Dad said I could buy two things. First I chose a drink. My second choice was a flashing star on a string. When I got home I had tea. Alexandra
After school on Friday night I hopped into my car and drove to my Granny's house to get changed for the disco. When I was changed we drove to the disco. There was lots of funny music like the Chicken Dance, the Macarena and moves like Jagger. Mrs Kundycki-Carrell was doing the Macarena. The man didn't know her name and then he asked if anyone knew her name. Harrison said it was Mrs Kundycki-Carrell. It was fantastic. Paige
On Friday I went to the disco. I was looking around in the car all the way to the disco. I was so excited. When we got there I ran into the disco room. My Mum helped me to get there. George
And a story from Macy:
On Saturday Lily and I had to sweep around the whole house because Dad told us to do it. I did not like it and neither did Lily. We got the tools and swept and swept and swept. When we were finished we had to go and sweep around the trampoline. I did not say anything for that moment. At last it was done and we got our biscuit. We were so pleased. But the bad news was it took us three hours. But at last we got a rest.
We have been learning about ANZAC Day. Come into our room to see what we have been doing and to read our ANZAC poems.
We are also learning about the Fruits of the Holy Spirit/Te Wairua Tapu o Te Haemata. We discussed what each fruit looked like and sounded like. Charts of our ideas are on our RE wall.
