Term 1 Week 5 'Star of the Week'

This week's Star of the Week is Luke.

Luke has tried hard to be focused and on task this week. He can follow instructions and is a good role model.

Thank you, Luke, it's great to have you in Room 13.

Denver received a certificate to celebrate her progress in Reading. Congratulations Denver, you are 'Stepping Up for Success'.

In Religious Education we are learning about what it means to follow Jesus and belong to the church. We read the story of  John the Baptist and learnt that he came to prepare the way for the Messiah, Jesus. John baptised people and told them that Jesus was coming to save them. 

The memory verse is: Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. John 1:29.

We worked in groups to perform role plays of John showing people Jesus. Here's some photos:

On Thursday we wrote about coming to school in the rain.

This morning when I was getting into the car I got wet a little bit because the car was in the way. By Liam

This morning on the way to school I was one hour late because it was pouring with rain. Me and my Mum had to sit in traffic for a long time. While we sat in traffic we called the school to tell my teacher that I was late. By William F
